Pateley Bridge 1 Bramham 1

by Unknown - 07:54 on 24 April 2011

This game had an end of season feel about it, with both teams understrength.  A warm day , bumpy surface and a strong breeze did little to encourage good football but Pateley used the conditions more effectively in the opening exchanges.

High balls were launched down the right flank and it was from one of these punts that they opened the scoring on 15 minutes. They had a golden chance to extend their lead 10 minutes later but  a shot  from close range struck the upright and the rebound was scrambled away.

Bramham created good chances of their own as they woke up from their siesta, with Linyard and Evans going close.

In the second period Bramham began to dominate possession and were duly rewarded with an equaliser 10 miutes from time. Linyard, putting in another good shift saw his shot saved  but the tenacity of Woodley sealed a point with a header from the ricochet.
