On a sunny October morning , Bramham entertained local rivals Tadcaster Magnets in the J.B.Plows cup .

 

The game started with Bramham having the upper hand against the team 2 divisions above them . However they were repelled by the defensive duo of Whittaker & Edwards , who were playing well .  

 

It was no surprise when Bramham took the lead when a through ball was neatly latched onto by Jake O’Donoghue to put the hosts 1-0 up. This was the wake up call Taddy needed & they got back into the game although Dodsworth in the Bramham goal still had little to do as the back four of Stevenson , Ewen , Dale & Hurrell held firm .

 

Bramham then went up field & made it 2-0 through a strike from Reece Parker , who was tormenting the Magnets defence ..

 

That was it until half time . The second half saw Magnets as the better team , substitute Tinker having a big influence , but again there was little for the keeper to do . On a Bramham break , when Linyard was put through on the right handside ,  got his shot off only to be saved by Wilson in the Taddy net.

 

 

Taddy pulled a goal back soon after when a through ball had Bramham defenders appealing for offside ,  Field , slotted it home .

 

Taddy were now back into the game & had a chance when Farthing shot tamely at Dodsworth .

 

Bramham then started getting back in the game after a substitution , & were rewarded after a defensive mix up saw Matt Lombard with the ball at his feet , clumsily brought down by Wilson resulting in a Bramham penalty , which was coolly converted by the veteran Roberts ..

 

Tad heads seemed to drop at this point & Bramham played out the final minutes to secure a deserved berth in the next round at home to Hambleton on the 20^th November
