Bramham travelled to Pool, unbeaten all season at home and struggled to come to terms with the offside trap deployed by their hosts. Time and again the Bramham forwards were flagged for offside and the frustration was plain for all to see.

Pool were the equal of Bramham in the early stages and they went ahead on 20 minutes with a low drive from close range. Bramham continued to struggle to come to terms with the offside trap and early in the second half went 2 behind when a strike from long range took a wicked deflection passed the despairing Lloyd.

Minutes later and a desperate goal line clearance from Dodsworth proved to be the turning point in this game.

Suddenly this out of sorts Bramham outfit, were in another gear, digging deep into their reserves they showed a character that only belongs to champions.

Inevitably it was talisman Wright that got Bramham a foothold in the game with a shot into the bottom corner that the Pool defence were unable to clear.

Just 2 minutes later and Wright burst through again, only to be pulled down in the box for a penalty whic he subsequently converted.

The confidence which Pool had shown for an hour  visibly drained from them in the spring sunshine as Bramham piled forward with wave after wave of attacks on the home sides goal. It was Matty Dodsworth a towering colossus on the day who rifled home the winner with 15 minutes to go who sealed Pools fate and smashed their impressive home record.

There are few teams who could have comeback under such circumstances, few teams that could truly turn the tide, but Bramham possess the spirit of champions as they extend their lead to 3 points at the top of the 1st division.
