Bramham welcomed back Appleyard and Alker and gave a first team debut to Josh Jones for this top of the table clash with Addingham. There had been a number of close encounters between the two sides over the last 18 months and this match started with both teams fired up for a competetive afternoon.

Addingham made the early running but Lloyd was in fine form in the Bramham goal  and beat away a number of early half chances for the visitors. Bramham settled as the game progressed and went ahead after 31 minutes.when the impressive Jones was sent away down the right flank. Collecting a fine through ball, the youngster approached the penalty area, drew the keeper and placed a low drive inside the near post. A clinical finish, that more senior players would rightly have been proud of.

Bramham were good value for their lead at half time, and looked a completely different outfit from the one that had trudged off the mudheap at Albert the week before.

The home side kept up the pressure at the start of the second half, and once again it was Jones involved as he broke into the visitors half, lifted a pinpoint pass some 25 yards to the waiting Wright, who pounced, wrong footed three defenders and slotted home from close range.

The mix of strength Guile and pace, which Carrier, Wright and Jones possessed, had the Addingham defence rocking and Hick added a third after a deflection.

Wright scored a fourth, before a momentary lapse in the Bramham defence allowed the visitors a consolation. There was however still time for Wright to complete yet another hattrick as Bramham ran out comfortable winners.

This was a much needed win for Bramham and restored the pride lost at Yeadon the week before. It also dispelled the myth that Bramham struggle on heavy pitches. They competed tirelessly all over the field, took the game by the scruff of the kneck and played like the Champions they are!
