Subs R Dowson, D Ewen, J Farthing. For the first time this season Bramham were able to field a full first team squad with the exception of Barry Dodsworth and adopted a 3-5-2 format, with John Carrier, Colin Maltby and Richard Robinson in defence. Bramham had the lions share of the possession throughout the first half, and looked a well organised outfit with Colin Maltby a commanding figure at the heart of the defence, well supported by Carrier and Robinson. They were rarely troubled and with 5 across the middle the visitors dominated much of the play and created the best openings. Mark Hick enjoying a great run of form opened the scoring on 26 minutes, when he latched onto a through ball, skipped past the keeper and slipped the ball home for a fine finish. The visitors extended their lead after 38 minutes with a classic goal from Jason Wright. The prolific striker found the ball at his feet just 6 yards out. A drop of his shoulders sent the first defender off balance, before he side stepped the next challenge. Defenders were falling about as if they had been picked off by a sniper, there were casualties everywhere, before Wright put them all out of their misery with a tap in from 2 yards. Masham started the second half brightly and had much more of the game and looked a threat down the flanks. They grabbed a goal back on 58 minutes following some indecision in the Bramham defence, and from that point on they belived that they may get something out of the game. Any hopes of a comeback were blown away when Hick knocked in his second from close range on 78 minutes and Bramham ran out desrved winners. There were run outs for all 3 subs who all contributed strongly in the final stages. Manager Man of the Match Matty Dodsworth Committee Man of the Match Colin Maltby.
