With Mick Wright away, Paul Firth took charge of the team on a typically wet and windy Killinghall Moor. There was a delayed start to this match as the referee appeared some 10 minutes late, by which time the clouds had darkened and the wind had strengthened. Bramham faced the gathering storm in the first half, and never came to terms with the conditions. Throughout the first half they were outbattled all over the field, failed to create any real openings and went in two goals down at the break. The first came when Joe Farthing failed to deal with an attack down the Bramham left flank and from the resultant cross the Styans centre forward headed home unchallenged from 4 yards out. The second came down the right flank when the winger cut in , knocked a low ball for an easy tap in at the foot of the post. Whilst conditions were attrocious, Bramham were second best everywhere, showed little carachter and got exactly what they deserved, with far too many players simply failing to show any real committment. In the second half Bramham raised their game, but as the wind dropped and the pitch became heavier they struggled to salvage anything from this match. At last they got a breaktrough on 55 minutes with Mark Hick reducing the deficit from close range, and a late penalty converted by Hughes gave them a share of the points. In the closing stages they did have chances to win the game, but in truth their woeful first half display meant they got no more or no less than they deserved. It seems that lessons from last years campaign have not been learnt as once again Bramham seem unable to deal with heavy pitches and adverse conditions and all to readily conceed challenges and possesssion to teams of lesser ability.
