Thirsk 4 Bramham 1

There was little between the two sides in the opening exchanges with both defences looking fragile and it was Thirsk who struck first following good work on their right flank. Bramham were level within 10  minutes after Stapleton pounced on a goalmouth fumble.

On the 35 minute mark Thirsk were ahead again as the Bramham defecnce parted allowing a free run and strike low into the bottom corner.

From that point on Bramhams perfomance rapidly went downhill as they conceeded territory and in a woeful second half the home side added two further goals.

Had it not been for the heroics of Leach in the Bramham goal Thirsk could have run  up a much higher tally. Few Bramham players could hold their head up and the lack of desire to compete is alien to the spirit usual so apparent.

Crawley  Whittaker and Hutchinson were exceptions and put in tireless performances, some others will need to examine thier committment on the day.

Todays lack of desire was unacceptable!
