It was no suprise then to see the game effectively over after 30 minutes by which time Kirby had eased into a 3 goal league. The visitors took their foot off the gas in the second half but still managed a fourth before Nathan Christopher scored a consolation from the spot for the home side. With the quarter final of the much coveted Barkston Ash Cup scheduled for next week it appears that local rivals Wetherby Athletic merely need to turn up to secure safe passage to the semi final. Comment from steve at 16:32 on 16 November 2010. Wetherby look a totally different side to what we know,went to watch them on Saturday as I was visiting my mother.
