Bramham 4 Knaresborough Celtic 1

by Unknown - 20:19 on 21 August 2010

A glorious afterrnoon and a super playing surface at Freely Lane welcomed Knaresborugh Celtic to the Premier League.

Bramham has several new signings on display and Celtic were pinned in their own half for much of the first half as the home side carved out numerous early chances. It was 18  minutes before Nathan Christopher struck a firm drive low into the corner of the visitors net after a quick turn on the edge of the area.

Bramham went further ahead on the half hour when Christopher was put through to thunder home from 15 yards. It looked as though the home side might overwhelm the division new boys but some fine keeping kept the home side at  bay.

Bramham started slowly in the second half but  on the hour Jason Wright put in  the explosive Tesfa Walton as the homeside went 3 up, from then on it was only the heroics of the visiting keeper that kept Bramham at bay as they carved out more cgood openings.

Tesfa Walton then returned the compliment putting in Jason Wright who made no mistake from close range.

The home  side were dissapointed to concede in the last kick off the match but this was an impressive all round display and it is difficult  to single out any individual, but Nathan Christopher and Tesfa Walton  turned in exceptional diplays
