Subs R Dowson, P Firth, D Ewen. Robinson returned at the heart of the defence and Matty Dodsworth accompanied him in a bcack four which had a much more solid look about it, than the one which was overrun at Thirsk. There was a debut for John Carrier who had imprssed in recent weeks in the second team and Jason Wright returned up front. Bramham had the better of the earlier exchanges and were unlucky to go ahead on several occassions when some good keeping and good fortune kept them at bay. Wright and Hughes carried a real threat and Carrier impressed with his strength, footwork and pinpoint crosses which had the visitors scurrying to clear as the threats rained in. On 26 minutes Wright slipped a ball through to Hughes on the left and there was Tasker unmarked to slide home the low cross from 5 yards out. This was no more than Bramham deserved and they should have been further ahead on 40 minutes when Wright was brought down in the box for a stonewall penalty, but Hughes failed to convert. A 1-0 lead at the interval was scarce reward for Bramhams dominance amid a number of very close offside calls. The second half saw Bramham in control for much of the period but Pool did carry a threat and Bramham needed a second to sure of the points. Matty Dodsworth supplied the finish on 70 minutes hooking the ball in from close range following a scamble in the area. Ewen, Firth and Dowson all had run outs, with Firth taking over in goal for the last 10 minutes. He careful judged two vicious drives on goal, calmy allowing them to rebound to safety off the crossbar, and never looked troubled. Danny Ewen turned in a much improved display and Dowson was a good outlet in the final stages. Robinson was a commanding figure throughout the afternoon, looking both assured and organised. Carrier made an excellent debut, with powerful runs, good control and some fine passes, creating openings all afternoon.
