With several key players absent, a bumpy pitch and strong wind this was never going to be an easy game for the visitors and so it proved.

They were out of sorts all afternoon frustrated by the offside trap and the difficult conditions, that said they were twice ahead and twice pegged back by a dogged display from a Sherwood side scrambling for points

The loss of the influential Davis just after half time further added to Bramhams; woes and in the end a draw was a fair result in a dull game.

The 16 year old Strangeway added a spark for Bramham in the last quarter and looks a real prospect, but for Quality there were few on the field able to match the skills of ex Huddersfield Town youngster Chris Pert who turned in another classy performance.

Simon Wright held the back four together, but others will want to forget this game, as do I!
