Bramham 1 Kirkby Malzeard 4

Following the two close encounters between the teams already this season, this match looked set up to be a tight affair, but Kirkby werent about to make the mistake of underestimating their opponents.

They started the game with a high tempo pinning Bramham back in their own half for much of the first 45 minutes and were deservedly two goals up at the break.

Bramham lacked a spark and were nowhere near the form they showed in the early part of the season. They were bogged down in the heavy conditions and pressed all over the field by an energetic and powerful Kirkby side who looked every inch champions elect.

The visitors grabbed two more goals before Bramham rallied late on and were rewarded with a consolation on 80 mintutes.

Bramham are a much stronger force this season  but were beaten for the third time  by a better equipped team.
