Otley Town 2 Bramham 2

It is several years since Bramham last won on this ground and the pattern of this match was similar to those in recent seasons with Bramham making the early running and Otleyfinishing strongly.

The visitors took the lead on 28  minutes when Stapletons persistence in chasing down a possible lost cause was rewarded as he nipped in to pinch the opener. In reality Bramham dominated much of the possession but were never able to turn this into clear cut chances.

Otley were a different proposition in the second half as the pitch cut up and their greater strength allowed them to progressively take hold of the game. They were level after an hour following sloppy work in the Bramham defence but a similar error at the other endlet Bramham back in for the lead.

Once again Otley came back as they made regular raids down the right flank and were eventually rewarded with 15 minutes to go.

From that point on the game could have gone either way with Otley finishing the stronger and a share of the points was on balance a fair result.

A dissapointing performance from Bramham, bright spots being the continued good form of James Burton and a good first half display from Maxted
