Bramham 4 Sherwood 5

Champions Sherwood travelled to Bramham seeking revenge for last weeks defeat and grabbed the spoils in a 9 goal thriller.

The vistors took the lead when Tasker in the Bramham goal could only parry a looping ball into the roof of his net and that set the scene for a crazy 20 minutes of mayhem as Bramham capitulated in front of nothing more than an average Sherwood outfit. Against the strong wind Bramham were unable to cope with high balls that swirled on the gale and found themselves out of the game and 4 goals down at the break.

Sherwood coped much better with  the strong wind and they withstood some early second half chances as Bramham piled forward, but chances of a home team revival looked none existent.

Bramham pushed Milner forward, went with 3 at the back and finally got a breakthrough when he drove the ball home from 18 yards out to get Bramham off the mark and the comeback was underway. Just as Bramham had struggled in the first half suddenly Sherwood fell apart and 3 goals in 15 minutes from Firth and Wilson(2) had Bramham level after 85 minutes.

As the homeside looked for the most unlikley of wins they were caught out with a rare Sherwood break in the last minute and the visitors had their revenge. Rough justice for a Bramham team that never knows when it is beaten and credit to them for a valiant display in awful conditions
