Sherwood 2 Bramham 3

by Unknown - 19:32 on 22 March 2008

Bramham finally clinched the points which guarantees them Premier league Football next season coming from behind to win at Sherwood

Bramham had the wind at their backs in the first half but it didn't suit their play, with passes being overhit and shots drifting over the bar. For all this they had the better of the opening stages without really troubling the home keeper

Sherwood gradual got into the game and took the lead on 35 minutes when Elliot was adjudged to have brought down their striker in the box. This was harsh on Bramham and they turned around having dominated much of the play and with the prospect of playing into the strong wind.

With the ball holding up they looked a much more accomplished out fit and squandered several good chance before Deighton fired them level on the hour mark.

Sherwood using the wind to their advantage got back in front from a looping cross which was crashed in from close range and it seemed the home side would pick up the points.

MIlner replaced Carrier and following good work on the left Wilson forced the ball over the line from close range to give Bramham a share of the points, or so it seemed, but Bramham were'nt finished yet and Smith having a sparkling season hit the winner from 20 yards with a sweet drive just inside the post.

On the day Bramham had the better of the chances and for their resilience alone in coming back twice deservedly grabbed all three points and a place in next years Premier League
