Bramham 3 Bramhope 2

Bramhams' recent improved form continued as they took another giant stride towards Premier League safety with a hard fought win over rock bottom Bramhope.

This match may prove to be Bramhopes last throw of the dice as their need for points was even greater than that of Bramham and with just 7 points and 7 games remaining their position is precarious.

Bramham opened the scoring with a well taken goal by Deighton only to be pegged back on 35 minutes following some shoddy defending.

Smith put them back in front just before the break with a well flighted free kick, put Bramhope managed to scramble the ball over the line with the very last kick of the half and the sides turned around all square.

There was always a feeling that the 5th goal was likely to be the winner and as Bramham squandered chances the game was on a knife edge albeit that the home side had the lions share of the possession.

With 15 minutes to go Deighton grabbed the points with another well taken goal  which sees the home side edge close to safety and leaves Bramhope doomed
