Well organised at the back, solid in ,idfield and with the pace of Jones and the guile of Firth they always carried a threat. Jason Wright returned to the side after suspension and took up a new role in the middle of the park, where he was well supported by the tireless Milner and the terrier like Linyard. Smith with control and a cool head was a steadying influence with timely tackles and pinpoint passes. Bramham dominated much of the first half and deservedly went in front when Firth fired home from 18 yards, steering his shot skilfully into the bottom corner. Firth and Jones had other opportunities to put the match beyond Pannal, but a half time lead and a clean sheet was grateful accepted. In the second half, with the wind at their backs Pannal pressed forward strongly, but time and again came up against a wall of yellow and bue shirts, superbly marshalled by Maltby and Elliott. Craven and Dodsworth were equally effective snuffing out threats down the flanks with good cover play from Smith and Milner. Wright showed some classy touches as he sprayed several passes to create some good moves on the break and Firth with Jones alongside kept the homeside busy. Pannal did force a series of corners but the well marshalled defence and Hick in goal were always equal to the threat and Bramham were good value for their second away win of the season and much needed points to lift them of the bottom of the table Add your comment Please note that whenever you submit something which may be publicly shown on a website you should take care not to make any statements which could be considered defamatory to any person or organisation. | ![]() ![]() ![]() |
