With Lloyd still absent Maltby took over in goal for what proved to be a busy night. Eccleshill flew out of the blocks and layed seige to the Bramham goal and it was no surprise on 8 minutes when they took the lead with a header from 8 yards out. 5 minutes later they were two up as pace and movement had the vistors chasing shadows.

Bramham settled however and looked dangerous going forward and Kitchen grabbed a goal back following a corner.

Eccleshill continued to play pass and move and turned around 4-1 up at the break.

Bramham continued to look dangerous on the counter and Wright converted from the spot after having been pulled down in the area in one of the growing number of raids. For a while Bramham looked like they may get back into the game but 2 more goals from the homeside put the game beyond them although they deservedly got a 3rd before the end and finished the match looking increasingly threatening..

Having played what are likely to be 3 of the better teams, Bramham have a yardstick for what is required in this league and there  committment  and passion to do well has never been as much in evidence as it was in the second half of this game.

Whilst beaten on the night they walked off with heads held high for a splendid second half performance against a team including North East Counties Premier league players, a measure of how far this club has come in 3 short years!
