Bramham sufferred their second succesive defeat and their impressive unbeaten home league record which had stretched back to January 2006.

This was however a closely fought encounter against a high flying Kirk Deighton side, who not only finished last season strongly but have started this years campaign in fine style.

Bramham were chasing the game from 5 minutes when the visitors took the lead and it was not until the half hour mark that they got back on level terms with a fine strike from Wright from the edge of the area.

There was little to chose between the two sides in the second half but it was Kirk Deighton who got the break when a well timed tackle by Hudosn was adjudged a foul and from the resultant free kick the ball found its way into the net, to leave Bramham pointless after their two opening fixtures.

This was however a much improved display from that at Otley three days earlier and it was once again harsh that Bramham didn't get at least a share of the spoils
