How my inner child helped me get from bored to motivated.

Recently I've been guided to reconnect with my inner child. We hear a lot about this, well here's what it actually meant for me. I had to forge a new relationship with this little soul, a hidden part of me - because in truth I'd been IGNORING her.
Imagine a young child full of life and vibrant energy being ignored. Heartbreaking stuff when you come face to face with it. Or heartmaking, depending on how you look at it.
I had been feeling that life wasn't as much fun as I hoped it could be but I didn't know why. I was feeling unfulfilled and bored. So think again to that child being ignored, how much fun is she having? You're right. None. That had to change.
When I started reconnecting with my inner child (contact me to ask me how) I found I was singing all the time and at the top of my lungs!
And a remarkable thing happened...
...this set some wheels in motion for me and really shifted the energy for me. I felt in limbo then one day last week I just decided to go ahead and set up that local(ish) singing circle to empower women that I discussed then backed out of last year. I contacted the co-creator to see if she's still interested, I put an email out locally and set up a facebook page without waiting for her answer, determined I'd do it anyway. She is interested and we're organising that in September. I am also going to audition for another singing group too, one I felt I really wanted to join last year but didn't and regretted not even trying.
Yes it's scary but better to be scared and optimistic than bored without a clue of what to do. Also it's proof second chances do happen and this time I am not wasting the opportunity. In every life we live we make mistakes, but we don't have to keep on going round in circles.
