Knowing when to rest is important, HOW to rest is a different matter!

Rest. Something I've battled with a lot in my adult life. I've felt lazy, I've felt like beating myself up in my head if I give in and have a rest. One pattern I've noticed comes up for me is that when I need to rest, I go to do it then sit there thinking about all the things I should do for the future, all the things I need to focus on to move my life forward.
This goes totally against my need to rest.
Which is why I meditate too. Meditation gives my brain the chance to process what it needs and not go over things. It allows me to feel free, secure and to trust. I realised today that I haven't meditated in a few days and I feel exhausted again. My brain can't deal with the conflicting messages I'm sending it.
I am training to become a Mind Calm coach and should be qualified by the end of the month so I can start sharing some of the gems within this great method with all of you.
Meditation helps me feel rested without having to fall asleep, it's like an awesome power nap! Have you tried to meditate recently and what do you tend to do? guided meditations or just on your own? I'm fascinated to know how you manage to meditate and what works for you so please do share!
