On Monday evening 3rd September, 15 people from the Kilmun History group gathered at the Younger Hall for a social meal followed by a meeting. There were 5 apologies.

After an enjoyable meal the group, in turn, updated everyone with progress on their individual research work. Understandably summer is a quieter period for this work, but it was amazing nevertheless how much had been achieved. A huge amount of oral and documented history has been gathered and the group has covered diverse topics which, when they are brought together, will form a valuable resource. It is sometimes difficult to believe that there is so much of outstanding interest connected to one small village, and the topics covered stretched from families, houses, famous people, and the rocks beneath the village as well as Rangers Football Club!

Everyone is enthusiastic and looking forward to the next stage in their work, and another meeting will take place in due course.
