TRAINING PARTNERS

Below is a short profile on the people that help me train for all the events i participate in, without them pushing me or volunteering me to sign up for these events im sure I wouldnt be as interested in the sport of cycling and triathlons as i am.

Nick Burgoyne, born 1963, he is really my main training partner and the main reason why i got addicted to the sport of cycling and triathlons. Nick is a very fit guy and i think his cycling is his strongest dicipline. In September 2009 Nick, along with 3 other friends, tackelled the Lands End John O'Groats cycling challenge which they completed within 13 days.

Kevin Burgoyne, born 1968, brother of Nick and again one reason why i got into cycling etc. Kev is the fittest guy i know, last year did he not only complete the Lands End John O'Groats cycling challenge with Nick but he also participated in the Edinburgh Marathon and these 2 challenges are just a few to say the least that he completed.

Richard Tyler, born 1956, my more experienced training partner (see how i left the word old out there!) but also the best cyclist i know. Rides for the Coventry Road Club and is very competative. He is like my mentor and advises me on training and nutrition, very good guy to have at hand. Rich annually participates in the Gran Fondo Feltre Italy, it’s a cycling event, in the Italian mountains, that covers 215Km (133 miles) and climbs 5500 meters in 1 day, this is defiantly not for the faint hearted!

Dean Sparrow, born 1974, yes my older brother, he likes to think he is slim and fit but he isnt he is fat and unfit! (only joking Deano) Honestly now he is a fit guy for his age and always a pleasure to train with.

Leon Lloyd, born 1977, ex-Leicester Tigers & England Rugby player, that says it all really, a very fit guy who is new to cycling but knows everything there is to know about fitness.
