G.O.D. TALK

Please note.  The word ‘God’ is now being used in its updated sense, i.e. not as a being out there, separate from us and made in the image of man but as an acronym, meaning that ‘Glorious Originating Dimension’!

A UNITED WORLD

Conversations with God, Book 2, Chapter 11, Pages 142-143

“You promised that in Book 2 You would get into larger geopolitical issues facing the planet (as opposed to the basically personal issues addressed in Book 1).  But I didn’t think You would enter into this debate!

It is time for the world to stop kidding itself, to wake up, to realize that the only problem of humanity is lack of love.

Love breeds tolerance, tolerance breeds peace.  Intolerance produces war and looks indifferently upon intolerable conditions.

Love cannot be indifferent.  It does not know how.

The fastest way to get to a place of love and concern for all humankind is to see all humankind as your family.

The fastest way to see all humankind as your family is to stop separating yourself.  Each of the nation states now making up your world must unite.

We do have the United Nations.

Which has been powerless and impotent.  In order for that body to work, it would have to be completely restructured.  Not impossible, but perhaps difficult and cumbersome.

Okay – what do You propose?

I don’t have a ‘proposal.’  I merely offer observations.  In this dialogue, you tell me what your new choices are, and I offer observations on ways to manifest that.  What is it you now choose with regard to the current relationship between people and nations on your planet?

I’ll use Your words.  If I had my way, I would choose for us ‘to get to a place of love and concern for all humankind.’

Given that choice, I observe that what would work would be the formation of a new world community, with each nation state having an equal say in the world’s affairs, and an equal proportionate share of the world’s resources.......

Conversations with God, Book 2, Chapter 11, Pages 145-146

Oh, I get it!  You want us to close down the military!

Not just you!  Everybody in the world.

But not close down your military, simply reduce it – drastically.  Internal order would be your only need.  You could strengthen local police – something you say you want to do, but cry each year at budget time that you cannot do – at the same time dramatically reducing your spending on weapons of war and preparations for war: that is offensive and defensive weapons of mass destruction.

First, I think Your figures exaggerate how much could be saved by doing that.  Second, I don’t think You’ll ever convince people they should give up their ability to defend themselves.

Let’s look at the numbers.  Presently (it is March 25, 1994, as we write this) the world’s governments spend about one trillion dollars a year for military purposes.  That’s a million dollars a minute worldwide.

The nations that are spending the most could redirect the most to the other priorities mentioned (page 144).  So larger, richer nations would see it in their best interests to do so – if they thought it was possible.  But larger, richer nations cannot imagine going defenceless, for they fear aggression and attack from the nations which envy them and want what they have.

There are two ways to eliminate this threat.

1.  Share enough of the world’s total wealth and resources with all the world’s people so that no one will want and need what someone else has, and everyone may live in dignity and remove themselves from fear.

2.  Create a system for the resolution of difference that eliminates the need for war – or even the possibility of it.

The people of the world would probably never do this.

They already have.......

Conversations with God, Book 2, Chapter 11, Page 148

The same could be made to happen with the 160 nation states in the world today if they were to join together in a United Federation.  It could mean an end to war.

How so?  There would still be disagreement.

So long as humans remain attached to outer things, that is true.  There is a way to truly eliminate war – and all experiences of unrest and lack of peace – but that is a spiritual solution.  We are here exploring a geopolitical one.

Actually the trick is to combine the two.  Spiritual truth must be lived in practical life to change everyday experience.

Until this change occurs, there would still be disagreements.  You are right.  Yet there need not be wars.  There need not be killing.......

Conversations with God, Book 2, Chapter 11, Pages 149-150

If this is so simple, why hasn’t it been tried?

It has.  Your League of Nations was an early attempt.  The United Nations is the latest.

Yet one failed and the other has been only minimally effective because – like the 13 States of America’s original Confederation – the member nation states (particularly the most powerful) are afraid they have more to lose than to gain from the reconfiguration.

This is because the ‘people of power’ are more concerned with holding on to that power than with improving the quality of life for all people.  The ‘Haves’ know that such a World Federation would inevitably produce more for the ‘have-nots’ – but the ‘haves’ believe this would come at their expense.......and they’re giving up nothing.

Isn’t their fear justified – and is wanting to hold on to what you have so long struggled for unreasonable?

First it is not necessarily true that, to give more to those who now hunger and thirst and live without shelter, others must give up their abundance.

As I have pointed out, all you would have to do is take the $1,000,000,0000,000 a year spent annually worldwide for military purposes and shift that to humanitarian purposes, and you will have solved the problem without spending an additional penny or shifting any of the wealth from where it now resides to where it does not.

(Of course, it could be argued that those international conglomerates whose profits come from war and tools of war would be ‘losers’ – as would their employees and all those whose abundance is derived from the world’s conflict consciousness – but perhaps your source of abundance is misplaced.  If one has to depend upon the world living in strife in order for one to survive, perhaps this dependence explains why your world resists any attempt to create a structure for lasting peace.)

As for the second part of your question, wanting to hold on to what you have struggled so long to acquire, as an individual or as a nation, is not unreasonable, if you come from an Outside World consciousness.......”

RELIGION

Its History

The New Revelations, Hodder & Stoughton, 2002, Pages 31-32.

“In your most primitive times, what you would call the caveman era and before, humans did not comprehend the simplest aspects of life around them.  All they knew was that there was life around them.  That is, there was something other than them.

This other thing that existed demonstrated itself all around them.  It showed up as wind and rain, sun and moon and clouds, plants and trees and tiny living things that you now call insects and large living things that you now call animals, and as spectacular effects such as fires that started spontaneously in the forest, thunder and lightning from the sky, huge waves on the ocean, and, sometimes, a frightening shaking of the very ground itself.

Now, Homo Sapiens did not know what to make of all these things.  They did not know why people died, why hurricanes or tornadoes or droughts came along and destroyed everything, or why anything happened at all.

In order to make some sense of these things, early humans concluded that there must be some power greater than theirs that made these things occur.  They imagined “spirits” that cause good and evil to manifest itself in their lives in many ways.

As they watched day turn into night and night into day, grass grow and flowers bloom, and trees lose their leaves and get them back again, they began to deify nature.  They imagined “rain gods” and “the sun god” and many other gods that did things according to mood and whim.  What had to be done they reasoned was to somehow affect this mood and to please the gods and then the gods would do as they asked.

All manner of rites and rituals were created to “call forth” the spirit of whatever gods might be needed or desired at the moment, to placate them and to honor them and to get them to do what humans earnestly requested.  There were rites of fertility and rites of passage and rituals of every kind and intention.  These developed through the centuries into what became what some of you now called pagan customs.

Myths grew up around how sacred powers directly influenced life on earth, and about how life on earth can directly influence sacred powers.  These myths became oft-told stories, which turned into beliefs.  That is, they became true for people.

When myth turns into truth, it becomes organised religion.

From so-called pagan religions to the mainstream religions of your time was not a very big leap.  Most humans today continue to believe in a power greater than themselves and most humans continue to believe that there is something they must do to placate the Source of that power.  Today on your planet there are thousands of religions, some honoring a plurality of gods, and some worshipping a single god.

Yes, but there’s only one true religion.

Here we go again.  This is the answer to your question.  This is how beliefs about God create crisis, violence, killing and war between people.”

Its Future

a) Tomorrow’s God, Hodder & Stoughton, 2004, Pages 216/217.

“The new Spirituality will never condemn traditional religion, but seek always to include it in the process by which divine truth continues to be revealed.

There are far too many treasures in your religious traditions to abandon them.  The future of humanity with regard to religion is not about desertion, but dissection, not about rejection, but rejuvenation.

What humans will do in the years just immediately ahead is begin to dissect their religions, looking at them closely, exploring them piece by piece, examining them doctrine by doctrine, to see what makes sense, what is functional and what is dysfunctional, what works and what doesn’t work in tomorrow’s world.

Then they will rejuvenate those traditions, gently releasing what is no longer beneficial, and adding new insights, new ideas, and new truths, born of the new awareness and the expanded consciousness that will be the basis of the New Spirituality.

So religion will not disappear from the face of the earth.

On the contrary, it will be more ubiquitous than ever.  But gone will be the teachings of an angry, jealous, punishing Deity.  Gone will be the moral justifications for vengeance and retribution.  Gone will be the doctrines of exclusivity and “betterness” that have cast their shadow across the face of many religions in the past.

And alongside religion will stand a new form of human expression of the impulse toward the Divine, an expression that will not be rooted in codified texts and teachings, but in the moment-to-moment experience of each person sincerely seeking God.”

b) Smith, A. B.,God, Energy and The Field, O Books, 2008, Page 112.

“My own prognosis is that eventually – in another century maybe – all religions will have faded away and been replaced by a deep spirituality issuing from humanity’s entering into a higher state of consciousness.”

PRIVATE PROPERTY

New Revelations, Hodder and Stoughton, 2002, Pages 254-257.

"Notice that what you are doing is evolving, adapting, and of course you are “changing the rules” as you go along.  Not to do so would be silly.  You can’t live today’s life by yesterday’s rules.  You couldn’t even live yesterday’s life by yesterday’s rules.

If what you choose is to live in peace and harmony, then what the world needs now is a new set of rules.

That is the point I am making here.  It is the point of the whole dialogue.

Functionality has all but disappeared from the human life experience.  Your species cannot go on as it has been going much longer.  You are going to have to express the Basic Life principle of Adaptability very soon now if you want Life to sustain itself in its present form.  (Page 223 - “The Basic Principles of Life are Functionality, Adaptability & Sustainability.”)

Can we talk about that third life principle for just a bit?  How does Sustainability have anything to do with “ownership”?  (Pages 224, 229.)  You said that “ownership” was a human mental construction, and that it was a distorted attempt to express the Life principle of Sustainability.  I don’t understand that, exactly.

Life seeks always to sustain itself.  That is a basic Life Principle.  You, as an expression of life, will seek to do the same thing.  You have built a mental construct around how to do this that plays itself out as a social convention that you call ownership.

You claim ownership over all that you wish to see sustained.  Seeking to express the Life principle of Sustainability, you claim ownership of your own body, then the body of your mate, then of your children.  You say that your children are “yours” and you say the same thing about your spouse and you treat these people as if you “own” them.

So, too, with land, and other articles and property.  You have it that the very planet on which you live, this sphere that revolves around the Sun and spins in its majesty one complete cycle every 24 hours, is something that you actually “own”, at least in parcels.

You have decided that this heavenly body, this celestial element, does not belong to Life itself, but rather, to individual human beings.  Or, in some cases, to their representatives – that is their governments.

And so, you have divvied up the very Earth itself, placing imaginary boundaries on that which has no boundaries, and claiming personal ownership not only of the land itself, but of the ground as far down as it goes and the minerals and resources within it, and the sky as far up as it goes – which is, of course, forever....leading to intriguing international political questions about fly-over rights and “how high is up”?

You take these “ownership rights” so seriously that you start wars over them and kill and die over them – when the truth is, you cannot ever “own” any part of a planet in the solar system, even if it is a planet on which your species evolved.

You are merely stewards, seeking to take good care over that which you have been given stewardship – including your bodies, the bodies of your mates and children, the land on which you live, and all else that you have in your care.

These things are not your possessions, but simply articles that have been placed in your care.  They are yours temporarily, only for safekeeping.  You are asked by Life Itself to sustain them, to express the Life principle of Sustainability, but not to declare that you “own” them and that they belong to you and no one else..  Such a thought is not in any lasting sense functional.

Nothing that is possessed by anyone is possessed by them forever.  Nothing.  Things may be in your possession, but they are not your possessions.

Ownership is a temporary fiction.  It is an invention of the mind and, like all mental constructions, it is temporary, having nothing to do with ultimate reality.

As with all of your social conventions, the idea of ownership arises from the fallacies that you hold as firm beliefs – in this case, the Second Fallacy About Life, which is that there is “not enough” of whatever it is you think you need to be happy.

There is enough of everything you really need to be happy, but you do not believe it, and so you seek to “own” whatever it is that you most desire, imagining that if you own it, you can keep it forever, that no one can take it away from you, that you can do what you want with it – and that from this experience of ownership will come your security, your sustainability, and your happiness.

Nothing could be further from the truth, as anyone who “owns” many things can tell you.  Still, the idea persists.

This idea that you can own things has caused more harm to your psyche and damage to your species than you could ever know.

This is because you think that “ownership” gives you “rights” that you do not intrinsically have.

Oh, man, there is so much here.  So much to understand, to absorb.  I’ve never had a conversation like this before."

YOU'VE GOT ME ALL WRONG

What God Said, Hodder and Stoughton, 2113, Chapter 2

“Here, in one thousand words, is all that the human race needs to know in order to live the life for which it has yearned and which, despite trying for thousands of years, it has yet to produce.  Carry these messages to your world:

(1) We are all One. All things are One Thing. There is only One Thing, and all things are part of the One Thing There Is. This means that you are Divine. You are not your body, you are not your mind, and you are not your soul. You are the unique combination of all three, which comprises the Totality Of You. You are an individuation of Divinity; an expression of God on Earth.

(2) There’s enough. It is not necessary to compete for, much less fight over, your resources. All you have to do is share.

(3) There’s nothing you have to do. There is much you will do, but nothing you are required to do. God wants nothing, needs nothing, demands nothing, commands nothing.

(4) God talks to everyone, all the time. The question is not: To whom does God talk? The question is: Who listens?

(5) There are Three Basic Principles of Life: Functionality, Adaptability, and Sustainability.

(6) There is no such thing as Right and Wrong, there is only What Works and What Does Not Work, given what it is you are trying to do.

(7) In the spiritual sense, there are no victims and no villains in the world, although in the human sense it appears that there surely are. Yet because you are Divine, nothing can happen against your will.

(8) No one does anything inappropriate, given their model of the world.

(9) There is no such place as hell, and eternal damnation does not exist.

(10) Death does not exist. What you call “death” is merely a process of Re-Identification.

(11) There is no such thing as Space and Time, there is only Here and Now.

(12) Love is all there is.

13) You are the creator of your own reality, using the Three Tools of Creation: Thought, Word, and Action.

(14) Your life has nothing to do with you. It is about everyone whose life you touch, and how you touch it.

(15) The purpose of your life is to recreate yourself anew in the next grandest version of the greatest vision ever you held about Who You Are.

(16) The moment you declare anything, everything unlike it will come into the space. This is The Law of Opposites, producing a Contextual Field within which that which you wish to express may be experienced.

(17) There is no such thing as Absolute Truth. All truth is subjective. Within this framework there are five levels of truth telling: Tell your truth to yourself about yourself; Tell your truth to yourself about another; Tell your truth about yourself to another; Tell your truth about another to another; Tell your truth to everyone about everything.

(18) The human race lives within a precise set of illusions. The Ten Illusions of Humans are: Need Exists, Failure Exists, Disunity Exists, Insufficiency Exists, Requirement Exists, Judgment Exists, Condemnation Exists, Conditionality Exists, Superiority Exists, Ignorance Exists. These illusions are meant to serve humanity, but it must learn how to use them.

(19) The Three Core Concepts of Holistic Living are Honesty, Awareness, and Responsibility. Live according to these precepts and self-anger will disappear from your life.

(20) Life functions within a Be-Do-Have paradigm. Most people have this backward, imagining that first one must “have” things in order to “do” things, thus to “be” what they wish to be. Reversing this process is the fastest way to experience mastery in living.

(21) There are Three Levels of Awareness: Hope, Faith, and Knowing. Spiritual mastery is about living from the third level.

(22) There are Five Fallacies about God that create crisis, violence, killing and war. First, the idea that God needs something. Second, the idea that God can fail to get what He needs. Third, the idea that God has separated you from Him because you have not given Him what He needs. Fourth, the idea that God still needs what He needs so badly that God now requires you, from your separated position, to give it to Him. Fifth, the idea that God will destroy you if you do not meet His requirements.

(23) There are also Five Fallacies About Life that likewise create crisis, violence, killing and war. First, the idea that human beings are separate from each other. Second, the idea that there is not enough of what human beings need to be happy. Third, the idea that in order to get the stuff of which there is not enough, human beings must compete with each other. Fourth, the idea that some human beings are better than other human beings. Fifth, the idea that it is appropriate for human beings to resolve severe differences created by all the other fallacies by killing each other.

(24) You think you are being terrorized by other people, but in truth you are being terrorized by your beliefs. Your experience of yourself and your world will shift dramatically if you adopt, collectively, the Five Steps to Peace:

Permit yourself to acknowledge that some of your old beliefs about God and about Life are no longer working.

Explore the possibility that there is something you do not fully understand about God and about Life, the understanding of which would change everything.

Announce that you are willing for new understandings of God and Life to now be brought forth, understandings that could produce a new way of life on this planet.

Courageously examine these new understandings and, if they align with your personal inner truth and knowing, enlarge your belief system to include them.

Express your life as a demonstration of your highest beliefs, rather than as a denial of them.

(25) Let there be a New Gospel for all the people of Earth: “We are all one. Ours is not a better way, ours is merely another way.

The 1,000 words here, embraced and acted on, could change your world in a single generation.”
