Our veteran girl Jess had a night out last night, representing York Canine Association in the Eukanuba Golden Oldies Competition hosted by the Pudsey Ringcraft Society.  This is the fourth year running that Jess has flown the flag for York, and as one of the oldest dogs taking part we're happy to say she gave a good account of herself, winning her match against a nice Sheltie three years her junior, but sadly this will be the last such event, unless another club is found willing to take over from Pudsey after fifteen years of effort.  An end of an era really and a fitting occasion for Jess to finally retire from showing and leave the job now to her younger kennelmates.
