We had a super day at Driffield Ch show though anxiety about Leroy's potential travel sickness problem made for an early start, with judging due to commence at 9am. However he survived the journey (well wrapped up in his waterproof gear!) and emerged clean and fluffy ready to do his bit at his first championship show
He put his best foot forward under judge Mrs Sandra Taylor and gained a Crufts-qualifying second place in the Minor Puppy Dog class, a great start to his showing career, congratulations to him and to Laura who handled him so beautifully too
The older boys also did well, with Creaglion and Blake gaining second and third placings respectively in the Limit Dog class, and Byron though unplaced today, winning a few new fans after his performance in the Open Dog class
However without a doubt the star of the day was Lola, who really caught the judge's eye! She won first the Post-Graduate Bitch class, then the bitch CC, and finally Best of Breed, to our great delight and to the joy of her adoring owners too - what a super day for us all and well done little Lola!
