W.B.C.S. Meet, Langdale

While her kennel mate Honey was keeping us all engrossed here with the arrival of her new litter of six, Diva had a busy weekend too, travelling up to the Lake District to take part in the annual meet of the Working Bearded Collie Society.

Diva and her travelling companions, Border Collies Joss and Belle, and younger brother Mirk, arrive at Lonscale for the start of the weekend.  They were lucky to be allowed to work the training sheep at the home of the Killibrae sheepdogs on the eve of the meet, and Jackie took the opportunity to get some good practice in with all four dogsl.  Such a beautiful setting!

The next day they continued further up into the Lake District to take part in the Annual Meet of the Working Bearded Collie Society, where some herding was on offer, with some very attractive Herdwick sheep.

Diva's brother Mirk was of course in his element and thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, and both our herding trainees learned a great deal and returned home tired but very happy.  Delighted to say they also took time out from herding to pass the Society's Companion Dog Test (Basic), a test of everyday obedience, and earned a couple of smart certificates, well done Jackie and Beardies!
