With Jess now well on the mend five weeks or so since she became suddenly and frighteningly ill, we have had time to take stock and review the history of her collapse and slow recovery

It would appear most likely that she suffered a spinal stroke, though without a whole gamut of tests a "proper" diagnosis cannot be given.  Her symptoms certainly match the profile
