It's very quiet in our house tonight with the two youngest family members sleeping off their anaesthetics!

Blaze has been today for his hips X-raying, not the most exciting birthday treat but a hurdle we wanted to get behind us.  A quick preview of the plates tells us the results should be very acceptable, with our vet predicting low scores.

In the meantime Kit has apparantly been up to no good.  A sudden-onset and severe lameness of his right foreleg made us worry about broken bones, and it was swiftly arranged for him to join his pal Blaze at the vet's for his turn on the X-ray machine.

Luckily it seems no bones broken, just very sore and painful muscle/ligament damage, so painkillers and rest have been prescribed, and he has been temporarily banned from rough play with Dillan.

He will be going back to the vet for a check-up in ten days, by which time he should be well on the way to being back to normal.

We all hope so anyway!
