The management committee wishes to express it’s sincere regret, that the disagreement between representatives of Back Football Club and the Lewis and Harris Football Association, over a procedural matter, was escalated to a point whereby the team boycotted the fixture.

This situation should not have occurred.

Notwithstanding the fact that there are issues which the club may wish to discuss with the Association in relation to communication protocol, there will be no appeal, by the club, against any constitutional decision which the Association make with regard to the abandoned fixture.

The club especially wish to apologise to Lochs Football Club, the supporters who travelled to Upper Coll expecting to enjoy a competitive football match, and all who were in any way affected or inconvenienced by this episode. "
