Cameron Houston (Goalkeeper)

The tall, rangy goalkeeper is in his 6th season with Lochs.  He has already been part of two League winning squads and cup winning sides.  A good shot stopper young Cameron, an Aberdeen based student, is a brave and committed keeper who has the respect of his team mates as their No 1.

 

Gordon Mackenzie (Goalkeeper)

Age: 28

Gordon joins the club for his first season in 2014.  Having played for Carloway and United he is now pairing up with his brother Peter for Lochs.  He has, however, played for Lochs before in 6 Eilean an Fhraoich Cup ties over the last few seasons.

 

Jonathan Smith (Striker)

Age: 21

A skilful ballplayer, Jonathan is coming off a club Player of the Year season in which he netted 12 goals in 27 starts.  His undoubted skill is coupled now with pace, tenacity and strength making him one of the best young players in island football at the moment.

 

Peter “Robbie” Mackenzie (Defender)

Peter is a strong defender with an excellent turn of pace.  He has been used in central defence as well as at full back over the last few seasons.  A strong tackler Peter always makes his presence felt in the Lochs defence.

 

Graeme Mackenzie (Defender)

Age: 32

Goals: 37

Graeme is a quality defender whether at centre back or at sweeper.  A solid tackler with the ability to time tackles to perfection he also has the ability to break out of defence to great effect.  His composure spreads through the side and is infectious amongst the other players.

 

Chris Mackay (Defender/midfield)

Age: 25

Goals: 3

Chris is a defender who can play at centre back or full back.  He is also used in midfield to good effect.  He has the ability to pass the ball well and also to break forward to assist the attack at all times.

 

Peter Mackenzie (Defender/midfield)  Team Captain

Goals: 27

Whether in defence or midfield Peter is a wholehearted and completely committed player.  A ferocious tackler, capable of bursting through any midfield and defence he has the ability to unleash venomous shots on target.  An incredibly hard worker for the Lochs cause.

 

David Macmillan (Midfield)  Team Manager

Age: 31

Appearances (since 2000): 407

Goals: 221

David is both player and manager for the second season.  Having led the team to victory in Cuach a’Chop in 2013 he hopes to add to that silverware in 2014.  His abilities as a player are well documented hopefully he will be equally successful as a manager.

 

Angie Campbell (Striker)

Age: 24

Goals: 28

Angie had a team leading goal tally in 2013 with 24 goals.  Since moving into attack from midfield he has developed as a player and is showing a good appetite for the game.  With improved timing his goal tally could increase.

 

Robert Mackenzie (Midfield)

Age: 25

Having the dynamic Robert back this season is a welcome boost for Lochs.  This hard tackling powerful running midfielder on his game can be a match winner.

 

Jim O’Donnell (Midfield/Striker)

Age: 22

Jim is a versatile with an eye for goal.  Injury limited his appearances in 2013 to 17 starts.  He is equally effective in attack or in a midfield role.

 

Donald “Nomie” Macdonald (Midfield/Striker)

Age: 36

Goals: 105

The talented “Nomie” is a real Lochs “Great”.  Whether in midfield or in attack he is a player who wants to score and create chances.  His first touch and ability on the ball are what make him stand out from common mortals.

 

Daniel “Nipper” Mackenzie (Wing Back)

Age: 33

Goals: 3

“Nipper” is a speedy wing-back with great stamina.  He is a willing runner capable of quickly turning defence into attack.  A solid positional player with great tackling ability.

 

Roddy Morrison (Midfield/Defence)

Age: 25

Roddy is an energetic and tenacious fighter who always gives his all for the Lochs cause no matter where he is played.  A solid tackler who plays the game with loads of aggression.

 

Callum Masson (Winger/Midfield)

Young Callum has made strides in the last two seasons as a Lochs player.  He is a good passer of the ball, has an eye for a good pass and is a good wing player.

 

Calum Moody (Centre Back)

Back for another spell with Lochs, Calum Tom will add steel to the centre of the defence.  The best aerial defender in the League he will also be a goal threat at set pieces.

 

 

Andy Murray (Midfield)

Having Andy back for a full season is a huge plus for Lochs.  During his 18 appearances in 2013 he showed signs of being back to his best.  A fully fit Andy will add creativity to the midfield.

 

Craig Maclean (Striker/Midfield)

A skilful forward thinking player Craig is most effective playing in a wide position.  He has made appearances for Lochs for many seasons and is an experienced player who is a valuable squad member.

 

Stevie Price (Centre Back)

Age: 31

Goals: 1

Steve is an experienced player with great positional sense.  He is a good defensive organiser and a great guide to younger players.  In his few appearances for the Maroons he has shown himself to be a valuable asset to the squad.

 

Ewen Maclean
