Several Lochies are in Alund playing for the Western Isles in the World Island Games. Andy Murray, David Macmillan, John “Uig”Morrison, Niall Gibson, Don “Lava” Macleod and former player Andrew Dunn are all in the Western Isles squad. In the first victory over Gotland Lochies David Macmillan and Niall Gibson scored the goals in a 2-1 win. Defeat followed against the Isle of Man before the Western Isles side hammered the Falklands 7-0. John “Uig” Morrison was on the score sheet in this game.
