 WESTERN MASTERS WINE GUILD

This is a group of six national amateur wine judges who have come together with the primary aim of designing wine recipes that will match good quality commercial wines.

They offer their experience to Circles in the West of Scotland to assist in running classes in winemaking, organising events, offering themselves as speakers and, generally, helping to raise the standard of winemaking.

We are presently working on 4 wines that we hope to have as standard recipes. They are Chianti, Chablis, Sauternes and variations of an eighteenth century raisin wine recipe. There will be more to follow.

And to follow we have Chardonnay, Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc - and more to follow

And to follow  Full Bodied Red Table Wine made from Italian grapes

And to follow; Gewurztraminer ( We are going to have problems getting this one right)

Our first ferment of 2016 is a Mead with variations of grape and apple juice

May - Rhubarb

June - Elderflower

July - Port

August - Sauvignon Blanc

September - Chianti Style from Italian Grapes

October - Plum
