We are school pupils from Nairn Academy and Culloden Academy. We come to The Meeting Place in Nairn on Tuesdays. The programme we take part in is for 18 weeks and during this time we will work as a team -
to understand set up processes, internet safety and the vast opportunities of using an iPad:
to use iPads in creative and educational ways and to explore the benefits of the iPad for people of all ages and abilities:
to set up a group email account for this programme and to learn about attachments such as documents, images and links and how we use them to build this website:
to take on individual roles (OUR ROLES):
to understand social media such as Facebook, Skype, Google +, Facetime and other ways of engaging, such as opinion forums, on sites such as YouTube and traditional media.
It is also important for us to meet and work alongside others especially as we will be moving on from school... this is why we shared our personal understanding of the word 'transition' and used the iPad to explore and note local and nearby services and online links that can help us learn more and share more with our schools
We hope that this experience will help us in our transition from leaving school and joining the wider world where we will think about our future, what other help is around to support us into employment, going to college or other opportunities we might want to think about.
