My SurfboardsI had my first lesson in Woolecombe, North Devon during our summer holiday in 2004 and I became instantly addicted to this sport. On my return I hired a wetsuit and board a few times before I was sure this was for me. I still wasn't standing up at this point. After a lot of research on the Internet I bought my first wetsuit and board in September 2004. A 7' 9" mini mal from Bic. After three years of improving in September 2007 I decided that in order to progress further I would need to change to a much faster and more mounevarable board. After talking to lots of people and a bit of research I purchased a 7ft fatboy flye by O'shea. I love the design and cleanlinnes of this board. On occasions when my son comes surfing with me I have great fun on his 7ft softboard from Alder which makes a great fun board. My Bic is like a longboard for my son and he finds it really easy to surf with.
