Meet our new baby

WELL....what a joy, I can't believe I have 3 Beardies at last. The family just keeps growing and growing. Just imagine when we're old enough to have Grand kids !!!! What a house full that'll be (can't wait)

Mabel came to us from a lady you will all know, Di Beech. We hadn't met her before we went to pick up the puppy but she had lots of knowledge about us Ha Ha ! Not sure if that's good or bad.

It's funny having a slate again after losing our lovely Norman in March 2008. She's so full of character and is a Joy to watch. She has no fears or worries that her new brother & sister are much bigger than her and takes great pleasure in stalking them both. She's been so quick off the mark to train and is already pre empting my command before she's asked .(typical Beardie)

Can't thak Di enough for letting us have her, she's an utter Dream of a puppy and fits in so well.

We're looking forward to Mabel's first show which is Miland Counties end of October. Don't know how she'll do but Di thinks she's a beauty so fingers crossed.

As the weeks are passing and the paws are a pttering up and down the hall ways, I can't help but giggle to myself at the pandamonium that's going on in Hawkshead close. There isn't a walk that' is not interupted by a passer-by who wants to know all about the 12 legs which are trotting alongside me.

WHAT A JOY.... I can't remember the last time I sat down and watched TV! The Beardies are much more interesting. I can actually see them each communicating with the other. The way they each have of saying...Hey it's tea time, OI, that's my Ball and, quick....mum's coming!!!

 I knew I had always loved dogs and always had a dog since a small child but I can't ever recall ever feeling like this. I think it's called empathy. 

There's 8 in my family now and they're all so very precious, life's certainly full of smiles in the Oakes house. (put your hankies away!)

MABEL'S NAME well this little one's not named after family member. She's named from a childhood artist who was all over my bedroom walls when I was growing up. Only you oldies will remember her..... " MABEL LUCY ATTWELL" Remember...never cry over spilt milk?
