My father suggested to the minister of "The Auld Kirk" Cullen, the Rev. John Guthrie that he could fill the empty space behind the pulpit with a mosaic. The Kirk Session gave its blessing to the idea and in 1960 "The Cross" was gifted to the church.My father, mother and myself often attended this lovely church when on holiday in Cullen.
