Destiny of Believers

As a Christian I was told by my church leaders that 'believers' would go to 'heaven' to enjoy paradise and unbelievers would go to 'hell' where they would endure eternal fiery torment. Although not comfortable with the idea of a loving God tormenting unbelievers in eternal fire I accepted this belief although I later found out that this teaching is false and not actually in the Bible. You can check out the hell and eternal torment deception here

The book of Ephesians is a real blessing and explains the mystery teaching of Paul and I would encourage you to read and meditate on it.

It tells us that the future for God’s chosen ones (believers) is not on the earth but in the heavenlies or celestials. We will receive new bodies (1 Corinthians 15:50-53) and will have the task of making known the mysteries and multifarious wisdom and surpassing greatness of our God to the heavenly hosts (sovereignties and authorities) throughout the universe. Wow! That will be exciting! As a Christian, why was I never told of this glorious future for believers?

‘To me, less than the least of all saints, was granted this grace: to bring the evangel of the untraceable riches of Christ to the nations,
and to enlighten all as to what is the administration of the secret, which has been concealed from the eons in God, Who creates all,
that now may be made known to the sovereignties and the authorities among the celestials, through the ecclesia, the multifarious wisdom of God,
(Ephesians 3:8-10)

This secret, lost to Christianity, was first revealed to Paul.

‘I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you, the nations, since you surely hear of the administration of the grace of God that is given to me for you, for by revelation the secret is made known to me.’ (Ephesians 3:3)

In essence, the secret revealed to Paul over a period of time can be summarised as this: God designated certain individuals before the disruption (foundation) of the world to be among a group of people having a special purpose and destiny. (Eph 2:6-7)

‘Blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who blesses us with every spiritual blessing amongst the celestials, in Christ, according as He chooses us in Him before the disruption of the world, we to be holy and flawless in His sight.’ Ephesians 1:4

This group of people were chosen by God beforehand and are known as the Body of Christ. They didn't do anything to deserve being in this group and it was in all sense and purpose a lottery. We don't know who is a member of the Body of Christ but we do know that anyone who is a member was predestined, will be called by God, justified and eventually glorified. That person will realise the truth and will be set free from all deception in for example the Christian church.

'Now whom He designates beforehand, these He calls also, and whom He calls, these He justifies also; now whom He justifies, these He glorifies also.' Romans 8:30

At God’s chosen time, these individuals heard and believed the Word of truth through the faith given them by Christ Jesus and in so doing they became saints, sons of God,

‘designating us beforehand for the place of a son for Him through Christ Jesus.’ Ephesians 1:5.

‘Now, at the coming of faith, we are no longer under an escort, for you are all sons of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.’ (Galatians 3:26),

and members of Christ’s Body

‘and subjects all under His feet, and gives Him, as Head over all, to the ecclesia which is His body’  (Ephesians 1:22)

At Christ’s appearance in the air, the dead in Christ, members of the Body of Christ will respond to His call and rise to meet Him with changed bodies.

‘for the Lord Himself will be descending from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the Chief Messenger, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall be rising first. Thereupon we, the living who are surviving, shall at the same time be snatched away together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So that, console one another with these words.’ 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

It will be the mission of this group to display God’s grace, love and kindness before the spirit beings in the celestials, thereby gaining their adoration of the Heavenly Father.

‘yet God, being rich in mercy, because of His vast love with which he loves us (we also being dead to the offences and lusts), vivifies us together in Christ (in grace are you saved) and rouses us together and seats us together among the celestials, in Christ Jesus, that in the coming eons, He should be displaying the transcendent riches of His grace in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.’  Ephesians 2:4-7,

‘To me, less than the least of all saints, was granted this grace: to bring the evangel of the untraceable riches of Christ to the nations, and to enlighten all as to what is the administration of the secret, which has been concealed from the eons in God, Who creates all, that now may be made known to the sovereignties and the authorities among the celestials, through the ecclesia, the multifarious wisdom of God, in accord with the purpose of the eons, which He makes in Christ Jesus, our Lord;’ Ephesians 3:8-12

This 'snatching away' will occur before or in the middle of a seven year period, during which a popular, charasmatic world leader will have arisen. This benevolent leader is the antichrist and he will deceive many. It is also at a time when God's righteous wrath will be poured out on the earth and there will be much suffering and death.

Christ Jesus eventually returns to earth where, sadly, the billions of Christians, along with the rest of humanity, will have remained, and He sets up his 1,000 year reign.
