Paul's Gospel
Scripture tells us that Paul is the apostle to the gentile nations.
'But, on the contrary, perceiving that I have been entrusted with the evangel of the Uncircumcision,
according as Peter of the Circumcision (for He Who operates in Peter for the apostleship of the Circumcision operates in me also for the nations),'(Galatians 2:7-8)
He was chosen by the risen, glorified Christ Jesus, Who revealed to him that,
‘no longer are you guests and sojourners, but are fellow-citizens of the saints and belong to God’s family’ (Ephesians. 2:19).
This is the mystery, a secret only revealed to Paul, and it is therefore Paul’s inspired writings that are for believers today.
The gospel message today is this. Believe that Christ died for your sins, He was buried and that He was roused from the dead on the third day according to the scriptures.
'Now I am making known to you, brethren, the evangel which I bring to you, which also you accepted, in which also you stand,
through which also you are saved, if you are retaining what I said in bringing the evangel to you, outside and except you believe feignedly.
For I give over to you among the first what also I accepted, that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures,
and that He was entombed, and that He has been roused the third day according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
And once we do believe, Paul tells us that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise and what God has sealed, cannot be unsealed. We are then members of the Body of Christ. Hallelujah!
‘that we should be for the laud of His glory, who are pre-expectant in the Christ.
In Whom you also — on hearing the word of truth, the evangel of your salvation — in Whom on believing also, you are sealed with the holy spirit of promise
(which is an earnest of the enjoyment of our allotment, to the deliverance of that which has been procured) for the laud of His glory!’ (Ephesians 1:12-14)
The truth is that God has made peace with the all of the world not just believers.
Paul wrote to the Corinthians, ‘God was in Christ, conciliating the world to Himself, not reckoning their offenses to them.’ (2 Corinthians 5:19).
Christian, unbeliever, please hear this. God is at peace with you. He is not holding anything against you. God is smiling at you. He is not disappointed in you or your behaviour. God is at peace with you and has taken away your sins and that is true whether you believe it or not.
You are guaranteed immortality with God and you will live for eternity with Him. That is the gospel of grace and it is for all of humanity.
This is the good news for today but you won't hear it in a Christian church.
Jesus died for all humanity and it was a once and for all sacrifice.
‘we rely on the living God, Who is the Saviour of all mankind, especially of believers’ (1 Tim. 4:10).
Believers, those pre-destined by God to be members of the body of Christ will get special privileges. That's why Jesus is the Saviour of all mankind, especially of believers. We will be taken from this world to join Jesus in the heavens and having received a new spiritual body, we will have a special mission to share the multiferious wisdom of God with celestial beings. Wow!
The good news is believers are saved by grace, not works!
‘For in grace, through faith, are you saved, and this is not out of you; it is God’s approach present,
not of works, lest anyone should be boasting.’ (Ephesians 2:8-9)
If salvation can be earned, then there is no need for the cross of Christ, as it’s His death on the cross and resurrection that conciliates everything to God our Father.
