Welcome to Anstruther Rotary
Covid-19 omicron variant
In following guidelines set by the Scottish government and Public Health Scotland, once again and sadly, the club has had to revert to fortnightly meetings only via 'Zoom'
On a happier note the club is delighted to report that, after missing a year due to Covid, our traditional Christmas Post ran without mishap 9th to 17th December. It was obviously welcomed by residents throughout the East Neuk as they posted some 6000 items which gave the Club £1500 towards its Funds.
At a 'Zoom' club meeting, President Eric Govan gave his thanks to local residents for their support - for what was a very difficult operation because of Covid restrictions - and to the many 'Volunteer Posties' who once again took to the Streets!
Pandemic restrictions have led many to make more purchases on-line. Amazon will now donate 0.5% of the value of any purchases made to charities. if you would like to support our work in this way you can select us from a list of registered charities.

ROTARY CLUB OF ANSTRUTHER TRUST FUND
Sadly we have been unable for two years to hold our annual Coastal Charity Walk. Funds raised have gone to local charities and others close to the heart of participants.
However, in conjunction with The Waid Academy, we have been able to run an 'Exercise to Educate' programme. A total of £1247.73 was raised, of which £1,000 was donated to ENCEPT - the East Neuk Community Emergency Planning Team. Among other initatives the Team has provided digital 'tablets' for use by schoolchildren during lockdown.
We have also provided support to a number of charities and have most recently purchased two 'ShelterBoxes'
Thank you to all who support us.
Welcome to our website. Our club came into existence on 25th July 1951 and is part of the international family of Rotary.
Rotary is for men and women who wish to serve their communities and who try to make a difference to the lives of others around the world, by giving of their time, knowledge and skills and by helping to raise funds in support of the many in need.
We are the world's largest service organisation for people of many backgrounds, having the most varied skills in every field of endeavour. People who take a lead in serving their communities. Rotary is made up of more than 1.2 million people, operating through some 32,000 clubs in 200 countries around the world.
We are one of 90 clubs in our Rotary district, which covers a beautiful area from the northern shores of the Firth of Forth, to the Shetland Isles in the North, and the Hebrides in the West. It is where around 3,000 neighbours, friends and problem-solvers share ideas, join leaders and take action to create lasting change.
We are actively involved in local, national and international projects. We offer practical and financial assistance - whichever is most needed and is most appropriate. On occasion we will offer both if we can. We also aim to make this FUN and as a club have an enjoyable social calendar.
Our members are committed to our local area and help and support many groups, organisations and community events. We have perhaps become best known for our 'Christmas Post' - a local Christmas card delivery service - now well past its 30th year. Our more recent Coastal Path Charity Walk has already completed its 10th year.
Over the past three years and just in financial terms we have given over £60,000 for individuals, groups and charities - local, national and international.
We hope to use our skills and expertise to make a difference in our community by being TRUE in all that we do; being FAIR to everyone we deal with; offering GOODWILL and FRIENDSHIP and making sure that our actions are BENEFICIAL for everyone involved.
