AGM minutes 2024. The Annual General meeting

Held at the Northallerton Town Football Club, Romanby on 12th. August 2024.

The meeting was opened by the President/Chairman, Mr. Martin Shaw. He welcomed all those attending and remembered those players that had passed away in the last year. The name of Mrs. Jean McIntyre was remembered.

Apologies for their absence were recieved from The Gold Cup, Barry Robinson, Kevin Ward and Steve Claxton and The Crown.

The minutes of the 2023AGM had been passed to the captains prior to the meeting. These were approved by the meeting.

There were no matters arising.

Secretary's Report.

I have a brief report this year, not to stop you all from nodding off, but because , unlike the previous year, last season went remarkably well.

For this I thankyou all. The fixtures were adhered to exactly as planned.

The Winter Cup was a great success. It proved that with two teams in the final the second division has some excellent players.

Congratulations to all winners , runners up and participants.

Last year the season was too long and this year too short.This will be rectified with extra cup gains included. We will continue to operate with two divisions and will be welcoming a couple of new teams.

 Thanks to Ian and Martin for all their hard work. Thanks to the Landlords and Captains.   

Treasurer's Report.  The current bank balance is over £1000 excluding the subs payed this evening.

Election of Officers. All incumbant officers were re-elected. There were two additional committee members elected. These being Shirley Peel and Paddy Houghton.

A propsal to start matches at 8pm. was not approved by the meeting.

The volunter provision of food suppers was discussed and the meeting agreed to keep the present system.

The adoption of £50 subs was unopposed by the meeting.
