MCG - 2012
10 January 2012

So a new year........in fact a new and EXCITING year for the MCG.  2012 promises to be a packed one for us.

The Private Lesson/seminar booking sheet is looking healthy for the first half of the year, I've also been invited up to teach a combatives workshop at one of the local University's martial arts/defense tactics classes (which is a great honour - never thought I'D get to teach at University, but its as near as dammit, at least to me !!!).

Later on in the year we'll be unveiling our Instructors Program for suitable potential applicants wishing to "try out" for it, and hopefully by the end of the year we'll be ready to publish our first publication detailing some of the history and background of various aspects of WW2 combatives.

No doubt along the way we'll be fitting in the regular annual close combat day - this year touching on some specialist skills - and I'm sure there will be one or two surprise projects and personnel that we'll be working with over the next 12 months.

So lots and lots to do for the Olympic year.

Can I just take this opportunity to say good luck and the best of wishes from all the MCG lads to Jamie H, who is starting his Basic training this year.

Jamie is a great bloke.  The manners of a gentleman, looks like James Bond, and can punch the pads making it feel like you've been kicked by a pissed off mule!!!  Its an honour to train with him.
