We shared our understandings and thoughts about Whitehead, J. (1989) Creating a living educational theory from questions of the kind, "How do I improve my practice?'. Published in the Cambridge Journal of Education, Vol. 19, No.1, 1989, pp. 41-52 Access from actionresearch.net and need to agree what paper to critically engage with next. As we were talking a lot about story and narrative this one might be of interest Carter, K. (1993) The Place of Story in the Study of Teaching and Teacher Education. Jack outlined the difference between a critical engagement with writings and an aesthetically engaged response as we focussed on Simone’s writings.
Please send writings you would like posted on to see and respond to writings in the CPD Project Members blog. You will also be able to edit the page ‘Ideas and Interventions’ so you will be able to add resources etc as you come across them for others to share.
