LAUGHARNE VCP SCHOOL
Laugharne VCP School is bilingual in Welsh and English and is situated at Orchard Park in Laugharne. We liaise frequently with all members of staff at Laugharne School in order to provide them with all the information they need to help your child succeed whilst at the school.
They take children for half days the term after they turn three so therefore children born:
- Between April and July attend for half days in September .
- Between September and December for half days in January
- Between January and March attend for half days after the Easter Holidays
They then are able to attend full time the term before they are four. If you require any information regarding your child starting for half days please contact the school using the details below.
The school run a variety of clubs after school for the varying age groups as well as having an After School Club that runs from 3.15pm - 18.00pm. They also have a Breakfast Club that provides your children with a healthy breakfast and activities before the children go to their classes for registration, this starts at 8.00am and is a free service.
SCHOOL ADMISSIONS
These now have to be completed online by following these instructions:
- Enter www.carmarthenshire.gov.uk, and click on "Do it Online".
- Click on "Online Services" and then on "Apply for it".
- Click on "Apply for a School Place" and ensure you tick the box at the bottom of the form that says: "I have read information for parents, the guide to School Admissions Q and A document". If you do not tick this box the application will not go through.
- Confirmation of your application will be sent by the Education Department and they will inform the school of your application.
