More Information...
If your child is two years old or above and you would like them to join Laugharne Playgroup then please use the Contact Form on this website leaving relevant details such as your child's name and date of birth as well as a forwarding contact number or email address.
We have a waiting list so even if your child is not yet old enough to join the group we can hold your information and let you know when there is space available on your child's second birthday.
At Laugharne Playgroup we offer a taster session for your child to attend free of charge. This allows you as the parent/ carer/ guardian the opportunity to decide whether Laugharne Playgroup is suitable for you child. On entry you will be informed again of what we do and guidelines that we go by and asked to fill a registration form in detailing information about your child. Also at a taster session you are more than welcome to stay and observe your child or leave for them to settle.
Your child will be allocated session days on registration subject to child numbers. Once your child has been allocated a day/ days these will need to be paid for either daily, weekly or monthly under the payment contract unless their absence is because of the reasons listed below.
Unlike most other Playgroups who charge for absence regardless of what it may be for, we are aware that sometimes there are times when your child is unable to attend Playgroup for their session. For this reason we allow the children ten days "holiday" for which there will be no charge, for your use in case of appointments, colds and holidays in term time. These ten days run from September to September and by prior approval, after these ten days have been used normal charges will apply in the event of your child's absence.
In the case of contagious/ infectious illness such as sickness and diarrhea, chicken pox, measles etc. we allow time off with no charge - this is so the spread of infection can be limited and allow your child to recover. We would be grateful if we could be informed if your child has an contagious illness so we can spot signs in other children and to keep others informed. Their first day back after an infection of this sort is 48 hours after the last episode or when spots have dried.
