Test results

Please note that results notification  via the website is not yet available.

The results of most blood, urine, swab tests and radiology investigations ordered by your GP are available  within 7 days.    There are some more complicated or rarer tests which may take longer than this to come back to us.

Test results are available by telephone enquiry between  1pm - 2pm    &    5pm - 6pm weekdays.

If you would like to phone for test results please call the main practice number and select the appropriate option.

Enquiries about test results on behalf of another person cannot be accepted for reasons of confidentiality except in certain circumstances eg. your children under 16  or where there is a written consent from the patient or a guardianship  power of attorney order in place) .

Please be aware that  tests that are arranged by a  consultant at a hospital clinic will not automatically be sent to your GP after you have had the test done.  The result goes to the consultant  that requested the test or performed the test.  In these circumstances  you will need to wait for the consultant to write a letter to your GP with the results which may take several weeks .  You may be able to make enquiries of the hospital consultant's secretary directly.
