New Patients

We welcome new patients  who are living in the local area that we serve.

Temporary patients

If you will be in the area for a short time then you can register as a temporary patient with the Practice and be seen on an appointments only basis.

Overseas visitors from areas that do not have a reciprocal health care agreement with the NHS in the UK can be seen but there will be a charge for this.  Reception can advise of our current fees for appointments, house visits, prescriptions or tests.  Receipts are available for insurance purposes.

The following link provides information about which EEA and non-EEA countires have reciprocal health care agreement with the NHS in the UK

Permanent patients

If you will be living in the area for greater than 3 months then application for   full patient registration may be made. This will allow us to provide the full range of NHS general medical services and request transfer of your medical records from your last GP.   Our reception staff will be happy to advise you of the process which essentially involves the following steps:

1) Collect   a registration form from the Practice.

2) Return the completed  forms in person  to the Practice along with any supporting documents of entitlement to NHS services and photographic ID.  eg:  your NHS card, proof of residency in the UK, proof of reciprocal health care entitlement with other countries and  passport or driving license.

3) Book and attend a new patient medical appointment with our practice nurse.  This involves some basic health checks and gathering some more information about your health , any medical problems and medications. Even if you are well it is an opportunity for a health check up.

4) The application will be reviewed by our GPs and a decision about accepting  your registration will be made.  In certain  circumstances we reserve the right refuse an application to register with our Practice.
