01 June 2019Bill Taylor Presentation and Workshop 2019

On Saturday 1st June we had the pleasure of welcoming renowned harpist Bill Taylor who ran an afternoon of workshops all about the history of the harp, complete with the chance to make our own horsehair strings! We also had the chance to hear demonstrations of medieval  tunes played on wire, horsehair and gut strung harps of the period, and had a go ourselves at learning some medieval pieces. A wonderful and educational afternoon! Thanks to Bill Taylor for this fantastic afternoon. If you missed this we look forward to offering a come and try session with Bill in the future!
