YOUNG PEOPLE NEEDED TO HELP GET 'STUFF'

There are loads of people looking to get youth facilities in the Lock - ELAG + CAPE + Youth Workers + ARTSTART  want you to have something to do - We agree there's not much to do - We have ideas we think you may like & are certain you have ideas too

We want to do a 'Mural' (or rather for you to do it) - On a big wall in the Lock & we are applying for a MUGA court if you want one & what about some other stuff - Youth Shelters or Skills workshops or Drama Club or DJ club?

But we need you to join in & help us to help you - To get involved & meet some of us informally to talk about this soon - Either come along to one of the Drop Ins featured on Meetings or click below - Thank You

There are street dancing sessions available in school term time - The sessions are run every week & are held in Edmonton

They are for 11 - 17 yrs & are FREE

YOUTH IS WORKING

Oasis Youth Workers Kat & Alice live on EIV & run great clubs on EIV at the Youth Centre (near Tescos)

There are clubs on Tuesdays & Fridays + 2 football teams & a club at Kettering Hall on Monday evenings

Charlene Stoute of St Pancreas Housing holds a really great Club at Kettering on Thursdays

 There is a Professional Karate Club at Kettering on Wednesdays

There are a variety of Scout based clubs for all ages on Fridays (See box lower down the page)

All Clubs welcome all & are fun - Details below

Young People in Enfield & London are getting a website to search for education & training across the capital - ‘Choice’ is an on-line guide to all of London’s educational provision for 14 – 19 year olds

 

Choice has 25,000 courses offering work based - educational & skills training - Fully integrated with London Mapping & TFL for journey planning

3rd ENFIELD AIR SCOUTS 

This local Scout Group caters for young people aged 6 - 14 & meet @ Raynton Road Methodist Church on the following evenings: 

Beavers (6 - 8 yrs) Fridays 6 - 7pm

Cubs (8 - 10½ yrs) Fridays 7 - 8.30pm

Scouts (10½ - 14 yrs) Thursdays 8 - 9.30pm

Air Scouts' are unique but do lots of traditional 'Scouting' activities including Camping & Hiking - They offer the opportunity to learn new skills & to make new friends in the world-wide family of Scouts! 

As an older Scout you will also have the chance to take to the air by gliding or parascending - Boys & Girls are welcome - They are multi-faith & multi-ethnic

As this is the Centenary of the founding of the Scout movement they will be taking part in a camp with all the Scout groups in Enfield – A chance to be involved with lots of activities & hundreds of other young people!
