THE ACORN THEATRE

St Monica's Hall - Green Lanes - Palmers Green - N13

31 May - 2nd June The Little Shop of Horrors - Proceeds to the Nightingale Trust

A lovely old local Theatre with regular shows including comedies & musicals (pantomime at Christmas) - Profits go to local charities with £52k+ being donated so far - Charities are all local & have been varied & include the Nightingale Hospice Trust (featured on 'Community Links' page).

Performances are at 7.30pm & they do a matinée at 3pm on Saturdays - Box Office (or use their web site) 020 8245 8153.

They welcome new members to act or help out behind scenes or assist with the company itself.

ROYAL GUNPOWDER MILLS - WALTHAM ABBEY

Park open every weekend 11 - 5 pm (All tickets purchased cover 2 days allowing re-admittance Free the next day with last admissions at 4 pm)

Gunpowder Park is open for the visitor season with something for every weekend + acres of parkland - Wildlife including Otters - Refreshments & Facilities & a wide variety of events for all ages

Steam 2007 Extravaganz Day

Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th May 11 am - 5 pm (Last admission 4.30)

The nostalgia of steam the smell of hot oil & coal smoke returns to the Mills for only the second time in over 70 years - See steam lorries + traction engines + road rollers from 2 inch scale to full size + Loads of other things (see below).
